I'm glad that we're still keeping in on AQ, but I'd like to see some bodies dropping in the upper ranks of the HQN too. When was the last time we got one of the main players (vs. the pipeswingers) amongst the Haqqanis? Or are we just going to pretend like they're not the ones who were behind things like the attack on the embassy in Kabul?

A top al-Qaida operative was killed earlier this week in Pakistan's tribal region, landing another blow against the besieged terrorist network, a senior Obama administration official told NBC News on Thursday.
