I think if people want to serve then a bonus has no effect on their decision to do so. Bonuses should just be for re-enlistment to qualified personnel and not new recruits off the street. But that is just my opinion.

But I agree, where was that money when I signed the first time? Probably buying someone a new suit in the political world.
