In December, 1966, I was chosen to participate as a member of our Battalion Color Guard in the Annual Bastogne, Belgium Anniversary March.I was one of the 5 or 6 people in the 1st Bn, 19th Infantry who had alredy been to Vietnam and possessed a CIB. We took off the 24th ID Patches from our left sleeve and sewed a 101st ABN Patch in it's place. The entire trip got us away from Augsburg for six days and we had a blast!
