Canada at it's Deadliest

Canada's contributions to both world wars are vastly understated, unknown, and not taught. One could make a strong case that the RCN held the convoy system/ Battle of the Atlantic together while the US and Britain figured out how to work together and until new technology turned the tide.

Hard agree. I talk as much shit about our 51st state as the next guy, but Canada has more than proven itself in every endeavor they have participated in since WWI.

^When I was little I thought Canada was a state. There was so much Canadian currency floating around W. NY I thought it was food stamps, which was also floating around all over W. NY. You don't see that other than the quarters and dimes sometimes anymore.

I think Canada is a state.

I forgot to add: My grandfather tried to come to the U.S. from England after WW2, but the U.S. was closed to immgrants (imagine that), so he lived in Canada for a while and moved here in the late 50's when things relaxed. I'm pretty sure that's because Canada is a state, but don't quote me on that.

Not to take away from Canada at all but there are a few countries that I think people forget about. The Poles and the Indians are often forgotten about too when it comes to some battles. Cassino comes to mind. I suppose that's a consequence of each country focusing on their own nation and efforts.

So many Canadian's know very little about what we've done. I'd like to say it's because big movies are done in the US but sadly our education system is partly to blame.
