CANSOFCOM pulls Sig P320 from service

Since when was the P320 "known to go off without a pull of the trigger"?

One of our local police departments switched from P320s to Glocks after one of their officers had a P320 discharge by itself, unmanipulated, in its Safariland holster during rush hour in a large train station. In fact, they wanted to do it so quickly they borrowed 350 Glocks from PPD until their order arrived.

SEPTA transit police replace Sig Sauer pistols after service weapon fires while in holster

If I remember correctly, the issue was discovered in military pistols and SIG moved quickly to fix them. Unfortunately, they didn’t move quite as fast to fix those pistols they sold to police departments or civilians. They did offer a free safety upgrade, and that tells you something.
