I know nothing about UVU; maybe they literally have an ER on campus? Could be possible there were some people (attendees/security) that got some trauma response background.

My wife thinks/hopes his security team has blood on hand for something like this. Kind of makes sense.

Honestly, it's hard to tell from the video if that's survivable or not survivable. Too many factors: range, weapon, vasculature, etc. That said, if he spent one second in the ER, that's one second too many, that needs to be handled in surgery, like, yesterday.

Regarding the video, I don't know if that is real or AI, but it is pretty gruesome.
