I was designated the honor graduate of my jumpmaster class when I was a 2LT, however, I should not have been since I completed jumpmaster school 7 years earlier as SGT Conners and therefore not eligible...I was also given orders to attend basic jump school when I was commissioned and when reported to jump school I informed them that I had completed jump school in 1963...a phone call was made and it was confirmed that I had graduated from class 19A in 1963. I could not produce records of my completing jumpmaster school and therefore I attended the course again and it was easier in that I had the skills and the second time I was in an all officer class.
