Don't Thank Me, Thank Disney

Lemmy, covering the Stones.... AWESOME...

@pardus.... really? :hmm: as I was posting the same stuff? :wall::mad: You psychotic expat kiwi wanking cunt... fuck you;-)... anyway that version of Sympathy for the Devil requires it be posted twice:thumbsup:

LMAO!
I heard for the first time yesterday the Motorhead version of Sympathy For The Devil, and it fucking rocks! It really is awesome!

-----------------------

I had a ticket to see Motorhead when I lived in London back in 2001, unfortunately Lemmy was ill and cancelled, so I never did see them play...

I watch this a few times a year. Cliff was dead before I got into Metallica and I always could tell Jason and James fucking hated each other.

This is the auditions of various bass players, watch Rob Trujilo, he just looks like he is already part of the band.

This was the documentary that confirmed to me that Metallica were nothing but but a bunch of artistic, whiny bitches. Fuck those pussies.

The art shall be separated from the artist where pre-black album Metallica are concerned.

Only Megadeth's Rust in Peace and Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power more powerful metal albums than Ride the Lightning turned up to 11, IMO.

I do admit that Lars Ulrich can often make this especially difficult, though, like when the internet steals food from his children. :hmm::whatever:

I am prepared for much hate, but I support Lars here. With the way Napster was rolling, artists were getting royally screwed out of their royalties. iTunes may exist, but why? Just go to Napster and get it for free! Unless a group toured, where would they generate their income from? What incentive would there be to create new music?

Lars may be a douche, but I never understood the butt-hurt metal fans bitching that they could no longer have a band's latest (or old) creations for free.

I pay for my music unless an artist makes it unnecessarily difficult- examples being having to purchase a full album just to get one song, or a group that does not put their product on iTunes. Then I go back to my old ways and "liberate" the song I want.

I was under the impression that the bulk of album sales go to the record company and bands can actually lose money by making an album (they pay for the studio, the sound guys, equipment, etc.). Their profit comes from live shows and merchandise.

Pardus -

You may enjoy this short clip then, Jason pretty much says the same thing; the emotion in his voice is very sad. I blame Lars - he seems to be the puppet master anyway.

Yeah, I really thought it was pathetic.

...and then there is Dave Grohl. One of the coolest mother fuckers in rock. I've seen shit like this at Metallica concerts, but found out later they were always set up. This dudes played drums, live in concert, for the drummer of Nirvana. Audio could be better, but I thought it was cool enough to share.

Then I'll share this one, just because it during the song, you can see how much fun Dave is having.

One more Metallica - the death of Cliff. I still remember "Behind the Music" on VH1...miss those types of shows.
