I am living in Colorado where it is nice and cool and very dry. I signed an 11x contract and have been following a ranger pt guide. I played college soccer in Cleveland, OH and during the pre season my body was not adapted to the heat or humidity in the slightest. I will attach the pt guide I am following and am looking for suggestions on what I should be wearing to help my body prepare/adjust for what is to come.

Thanks
Tyson

NOTHING! Do not be stupid and wear sweat suits or anything like that. I grew up in SD and the adjustment to Georgia heat was rough, but I did adjust. Do not do something stupid that will end up with you being in the hospital with a heat injury that prevents you from shipping. Go take advantage of the variety of terrain in CO and train hard, but not stupid. You'll adjust to heat just like every other Private that grew up north of the Mason-Dixon.

Increase your fluid intake, the Army recommends up to 1 quart/liter per hour when you're in hot temps IIRC. Gatorade diluted 50% with water can help too but don't make that your sole or even main % of fluid intake, water is the best thing. Don't stop eating in the heat either.

You'll be fine. You'll be as Sand Hill a week or two before you do anything physical anyways. Then the Drill Sergeants will get you plenty used to the heat, trust me you are doing what millions of young men have done before you.
