How are you?
Adam here. While doing research about NYPD 41st PCT in South Bronx I opened a post of pardus to learn(with my mouth wide open) he's a friend of "Wild" Bill Taylor so I decided I gotta register, say hello and ask about Mr. Bill. I'm also interested in HUMINT and believe this forum will be a vast source of information.

Thank you for your attention, have a nice day!
Adam

Thanks guys!

Welcome.

Why are you researching Fort Apache? Are you really a 2LT or an NYPD LT... the first is possible at 22, the second notsomuch.

(Yes, I was born/raised in NY, during the infamous period of Fort Apache, and Bed Stuy)

It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm not a policeman nor a soldier, my nick does not have anything in common with my real-life at all.

I was always interested in policing (mainly the investigative part of the job) and stuff like criminology, psychology etc. For me Fort Apache is an example of extremely dangerous policing in an area that simply collapsed in as many ways as you can think of - a kind of utmost model. This tragedy had also it's multiple; superficial and deeper causes. I find knowledge about all these mechanisms which stand behind that situation as a value that can't be overestimated. Unfortunately there's few sources about that times, Walker, Smith, Jones - that's why I was very excited to find a friend of Mr. Taylor here.

Nope, I'm livin' in Central Europe but thanks to Amazon and the Internet I can read books and do my research.
