Home Networking Setups

Any of you nerds have some home automation setups running? Last week I started looking at ADT, Simplisafe, Arlo, etc to monitor my home, both for physical security as well as utility security. Last thing I want is for a water pipe to spring a leak and then have no way to know until I get home. Then I stumbled onto the r/HomeAssistant and downnnnn the fucking rabbit hole I went. One week later I'm running an Aruba Instant On 1930 switch with POE and three Aruba AP25's. I have my Raspberry pi 5 on the way so I can get the rest of it going. Might replace my ASUS router with a Firewalla. It's an expensive journey so far. FML.

I’d consider ditching ASUS altogether. They have had some major security problems of late. I love their stuff but the volume of reports lately is a bit concerning.
