Not quite done with this book yet, but wanted to get a review up. The author embeds with several Marine and ARSOF units across the globe. His stated purpose is to tell the story of American foreign policy from the NCO and junior to middle-grade Officer POV. He does this very well, IMO. The book simply tells stories and relays the words of the guys on the ground. Each chapter is almost like a novella and it's an easy book to read a chapter at a time because the chapters don't build on each other. I definitely recommend this book.
