Hi everyone, I'm in 11th grade and have been really interested in joining the US Army. I plan to enlist as 11B and possibly try for the 75th Ranger Regiment later on. I came across this site while searching for questions and it's a great site. Thanks

Welcome to SS, dustin. I like your very reasonable plan of 11B, and then on to Ranger. So many can only see themselves as Ranger, SF, SEAL, Recon, PJ, etc., or nothing at all. By becoming a soldier, sailor, airman, marine, coastie, you become a member of a very small but important part of our Nation. So few take the long view of chosing the military as/for the profession that it is. Given the amount of training and time it takes to master the world of an 11B, for example, puts you in a rather unique position; a United States Infantry Soldier. So few see it for what it is, to be a soldier in the modern military. This site is packed with information, from experts. That you have stopped by for a visit, and have decided to join speaks well of you. Enjoy our site, dustin.

I seldom get this wordy in an intro, something humble in your intro, I guess, prompted me. Back to my wee cave here in The Valley. Welcome to SS.

Thanks for the welcome, yeah, I have seen a lot of that mentality, and I like a reasonable approach. It has been my dream to join the military and I really want to make sure I am ready to join special operations. I figure becoming normal 11B first would really help me kinda get a feel for it so that's what I will do first instead of jumping in an 18X or Option 40 contract. Again, thanks for the welcome

Welcome.

Finally, one that's still wet behind the ears understands or seems to anyway about how to properly spell and use punctuation.

Take advantage of the wealth of knowledge on this website.

Best of luck on your endeavors, and welcome to SS.
