Former 11B both active and guard followed by a few years break, then joined the Air Guard as Security Forces.
I just crossed the 20 year mark (23 if I hadn't taken a break) in the military, but since I've been Guard 3/4 of the time I've got quite a bit of time out of uniform and in the private sector. On the civilian side I've spent a few years in personal protection, surveillance, and as a security director at a nice resort in Florida. Spent a couple of years as a cop too.
I've hung up my civilian jacket now and returning to active duty for a statutory tour with the national guard. Truth is, I'm a better soldier (now airman) than I am a civilian.
I deployed to Bosnia in 1997 and Afghanistan in 2011.
