Hello,

I stumbled across your site after reading about Goruck. I'm an "old guy" in my 30's, yet I'm in better shape than I ever was in my 20's. I went to school for EMS/Nursing major. For the past year I have felt I should be contributing to a cause bigger than I have been. The idea of teamwork and being pushed beyond any pre-conceived limits is very appealing.

I have been training, studying and trying to find as much information as I can on SF or NG SF and the process I need to go through.
Did any of you go through selection with anyone in their 30's?

Thank you. I talked to an Army recruiter yesterday and found out the cut off age for joining the Army is. 34. Even though I'm in better shape than the average 18 y/o. I'll seek another route.

Are you able to get a waiver to enter as a Nurse Corps Officer? The shortage is pretty acute nation wide. If the Army will not take you, go talk with a USAF Nurse recruiter.

I'm currently trying to find out more info as the last recruiter I talked to said I couldn't get an age waiver. There's got to be a way.
