Hello, my name is Cody Randall. I was raised mostly in Mississippi. I am 20 years old, I joined the air force in July 22, 2014. I came in with a PJ contract, not knowing what I was getting my self into. I was not prepared and when I failed I was thrown into another career field. I am looking to retrain and live up to my maximum potential as a part of the United states military. Currently I am looking into retraining into one of two career fields, ALO or TACP. I am currently an enlisted member and a new member of the air force. I am looking to excel in my military career. I am also looking for a mentor to help me reach my goals.

Welcome Cody... never give up!!!!!! Most people can't imagine or prepare for what indoc, the schoolhouse,bud/s and many other mil schools are going to throw at them. While it was a hard pill to swallow, get a mentor here, prepare yourself, and go after whatever career you want with a little more wisdom, better physical conditioning, and better attitude. Excel at whatever it is you are doing now and LISTEN to those who are what you aspire to be. You also have a good chance to reevaluate what you really want, or does something else suit you better.

Thank you!
I will take you words to heart and learn from my past mistakes.

I spent several years at Columbus AFB, MS. It was probably one of my best duty stations. Best of luck in your plans.
I appreciate it!
The only time iv been to Columbus was when I was with my recruiter attending the spec. ops camp we had once a month. Seemed like a nice place. Alot warmer than Alaska where I am at now!

Welcome to the site. One correction, the TACP officer careerfield is 13L. ALOs are rated pilots who take a break from the cockpit to work on the ground at a squadron, center, or group.

My apologies, as you can see I need to do some more research. The whole officer thing is on more of a back burner compared to the TACP option. Thank you!
