Hello,
I was a 37F and did all my time at the Tactical Psyop Team level serving as a team leader on two TPTs during two combat tours to Afghanistan attached at the team level to ODAs and Marsoc MSOTs. I am currently a City Councilman, Firefighter and I also operate a small non-profit that helps combat veterans recovery from PTSD/Addiction issues. Glad to be here.

Welcome. I did your vetting, my good buddy was on that 09 deployment as a SOST medic in that 3rd group company...

It was pretty crazy, I got to Firebase Anaconda the day after Dave Hurt and Jeremy Bessa were killed. A week before that the medic Marc Small was killed. The guys on ODA 3123 were dealt a huge blow. It sucked that they were reassigned but I understand why they were. It felt good a few months later getting some revenge against the TB commander that was behind their deaths. I just wish it was with 3123. But the 19th group ODA was really good to work for too. All of 1st battalion 3rd Group was really awesome. As an attached Psyop team member I was never treated like an outsider. They were good dudes that understood the importance of psychological operations.

Dave Hurt was one of my instructors at BNCOC.

He was a great guy. Had some great times with him at PMT in Nevada before that rotation. Was looking forward to working with him in country. It was horrible that he was killed before I had the chance. He was from Tucson and I'm from Safford about 2 hours east of there so we had a lot in common.
