Good Afternoon,
My name is John Morris. I am currently enlisted as a 12N in the 801st ENCO in CA. As the Army is changing its requirements for Engineering companies I will be reclassing to 12W to fit the needs of an upcoming deployment. I am 32 years of age and enlisted in NOV of 2014.
I have been interested in joining the SF pipeline for some time. Circumstances that allowed my enlistment now allow for a further development into the Army green beret system. I live in CA but would like to get back home to MA so finding s job in 20th SF would be ideal. I would like to be in an active military environment however the tradeoff of moving back home seems just as fit. My reasoning for joining this site is merely to gain all the information possible to make me an almost undeniable candidate. Donning a green beret is a dream and an unbelievable accomplishment. Something that would never be taken lightly. I am hoping that I can find someone in the 20th group pipeline that can shine some light.
In the event that any of my experience can be of use I would love to share that as well. I feel the military is a team and teams always ride on two way streets. I understand I am new to the game so to speak however I am always cool with answering a question to the best of my ability. I appreciate that there is a group available to help men and women like myself who find a calling in what we do as soldiers citizens alike. It is always nice to know there are people willing to help, listen, and have your back.
Thank you and very respectfully,
SPC. John Morris
