Joined this forum mostly for professional guidance. I have some personal mentors, but would like to branch out and hear from others from other communities have to say about my situation, and if this path is right for me.
- Got my degree from Penn State in Forensic Psychology. 3.9 GPA and some extracurriculars i thought people would care about (nobody does)
- Enlisted into the Army as an infantryman. Loved it. My plan was doing my 4 years, getting out to get a graduate degree, then coming back in as an O.
- Got out, did one semester in a grad program (also forensic psych). I was simultaneously working on a packet to get back into the Army as a pilot. My recruiter was giving me a hard time, so I applied for Naval Aviation instead. Due to a lower age maximum, I had to leave the graduate program and go straight into the pipeline.
- Had some trouble in the flight program. My flyability (keeping an accurate heading, altitude and such) wasn't the best. Had a rough transition from college academics to firehose military academics and struggled a bit in the beginning. I academically passed and graduated the program, but with a low GPA, and during a force reduction, and was dropped.
- I filed for my separation, with a plan to go back into the Army and get my boots back on the ground. I got the opportunity to lead some sailors in the rescue swimmer pipeline and loved it, but no other job in the Navy peaked my interest, until I learned about Navy EOD. All my understanding about that community was mostly mine removal. I didn't know about the wide variety of missions they work on. Right now, I am physically training for that pipeline, working on TADs to get some first hand experience in the community, and looking for mentorship.

Thank you for any and everybody's advice.
