Welcome. Being an officer means your focus slips from yourself and resides entirely upon the Marines you have the privilege of leading. The infantry isn’t SOF but its one of the best jobs I ever had. It’s also a great foundation for future careers in MARSOC.

Thanks for the response Sir. I reckon I can use some advice from a Force Recon O. Would you see it as stupid to make it through OCS on an air contract and then give up a commission after I finish college? By the time I have to go to TBS (in 2 years), I may or may not want to enlist rather than commission, I just haven't fully made my mind up.
