I am a veteran Marine and served with 3rd Battalion 7th Marines and as part of the Presidential Support Program. I got out of the Marine Corps in 2012 and am currently in the IRR. I would like to say THANK YOU to the members of this site and the staff. This past February I found SS and the MARSOC IRR to A&S Process thread stickied to the top of the US Marine Corp Special Operations forum. Without seeing that thread, I would not be in the position I am today. I have went through the process and currently have orders A&S 15-02. The amount of knowledge provided by the members of this site is priceless. I look forward to continually learning from the members of this site.

I was lucky enough to be found disqualified for YW for having wisdom teeth that would need to be pulled. Unfortunately it caused me to end up with a UV contract since I was selected in boot camp. Meanwhile I was sent to Chesapeake for Gun School while 95% of the rest of my ITB class got put on a bus to Horno, draw gear, and fly immediately to Kuwait to stage for the invasion of Iraq.

Good luck, how far along in the process are you? I started last February and it was a long and tedious process, but I also had to reenlist in the IRR to have enough time.
