Hi, I just joined after coming across this website on Google while searching for some things related to MARSOC. I found some answers for some questions I had on this site, so I figured why not join, read more, and maybe ask a few questions about things that I have yet to find answers to.
I am a recent college graduate, and am currently looking at joining the US military, probably as enlisted. So far I am talking with a Marine Corps recruiter, but very much plan on talking to recruiters for the other services as well. Since graduating in December, my time has been mostly spent on online coursework, and preparing for the military by reading and spending time at the gym.
As for what I want to do in the military, the two main things that have my attention are infantry and cyber security, and all the many related things to both of these. Within infantry, my highest hope/dream would be to get into a Special Operations unit, but I do realize that that is incredibly difficult, to say the least. Part of why I joined this site was to be able to ask some questions about how to prepare and go about this particular lofty goal, when the search bar fails me. I am also curious about alternatives/more realistic possibilities - one of the posts that drew me to this site was about forward observers and naval gun liaisons.
