Hello Everyone,

First; Thanks to everyone for your service, keeping this country safe.
I have some friends/acquaintances in the SEAL community (class 279ish) and was really intrigued by the mindset and camaraderie. Started reading a lot of books and getting into fitness.

I've Lost 40+ pounds and my 5k's are almost below 8 min/pace.
I would love to hit the BUD/S numbers and would consider going USN but would likely need medical/age waviers. Not sure if it is still in the cards for me.

Hoping to do a half iron man before the year is done.

I live in Chicago, if anyone in the area wants to go shooting, hit the lakeshore trail for a swim/run, or hit the gym let me know. Always down to grab a drink and listen to stories.

Welcome to SS. You have done very well, on your road to fitness. Check in with a recrutier to see how well you will fit. This nation needs soldiers, sailors, and airmen, too.

Enjoy the site, and best of luck in your future plans.

Hello

You need to contact one of the admins to have your username changed. It implies you were or are a Navy SEAL. Re read the guidance on selecting usernames on this site.

You do need to read (or re read) this rule:

1. Do not choose a military-related user name or select site avatars that do not mirror your credentials. For example: Do not choose "ArmyGuy7" if you have never been in the Army. If you are an Army wannabe, do not choose a screen name with the word "Army" in it (ie "ArmyWannabe1").

Thread closed until further./
