Thank you all for tremendous service and providing this website.
I am a recent graduate and Marine Corps Resevist living in Birmingham Alabama. I have been in about 2.5 years. I hope to one day transition into a recon role at Bravo Company in Atlanta. Currently my MOS is 3051. I am principlaly looking for advice and guidance to prepare physically, mentally, and administratively for this lofty goal. Much of the information online in regards to the training pipeline and initial requirements seems either dated or conflicting.

They recently changed the scoring system for water survival I was only allowed to achieve the lowest level at boot amp. Our unit is going to the pool next drill and I have requested to go higher in swim qual.

. I did an elective peds rotation to Birmingham Children's Hospital in the mid 70's. Vulcan looked down on me, for each walk I made to the hospital. I was on track to return on staff after my payback for my residency was over. Orders to Europe changed that, and I only got back there for a few meetings.
