Introduction

Hello all, Ive been a ghost on here for a few months now but I've decided to come out of my shell now. As far as my introduction well...here goes.
I am a soon to be freshman at Allegheny College, Meadville Pennsylvania. I'm going to be a member of the football team to stay in shape for my dream as a SEAL or MARSOC CSO. I originally wanted to enlist out of high-school and go to the Marine reserves but my dad did that and ended up deployed in the middle of college. Thus, my dad said go to college first then do whatever you want. As for you operators on here, thank you for your service, you guys are living a dream no doubt. To the moderators, I'll do my best to not piss you guys off. Thanks again all and I hope to get to meet all of you

If you're an incoming freshman, you can go either way on this. A lot of vets I know are set up much better for college after the service (I just attended a 2-week course specifically for addressing this), so you may want to consider that if you absolutely want to do SOF right away. A few guys are going to elite universities (Yale, Columbia, Vassar) because of their vet status (with a little bit of hard work). If you were a sophmore or junior, I'd say you should totally finish up school before going in, but since you haven't started yet you could go either way.
