A little information about my military service:
I found this site while doing some research about MARSOC. I've been in the Marine Corps Reserves as an 0311 for close to 6 years (October is my EAS) and deployed once to Iraq. During my deployment I was located mainly in Ramadi/Al Anbar Province. I've also been to Estonia on a training package as well as worked with Colombian and Brazilian military in other training packages. Through my unit I was sent to IDD Handlers course as a PFC, graduated as a top performer, where I was certified as a IDD K9 Handler. My interest in putting in a package for MARSOC is directly related to K9 work and I have a friend and former Squad Leader who is currently in ITC that informed me of current MARADMIN in relation to reservists. I have held a Squad Leadership billet since I was a LCpl, however due to a recent influx of prior service Sgt's and time remain on my contract I am now holding a TL billet. That is everything I can think of that could give a general idea of my background within my time in service so far.
Some of my civilian background:
I currently train dogs for private citizens, executives, and law enforcement. My main focal points are on working dogs (protection, scent detection) and behavior modification (aggression issues) but I do train basic obedience as well. My daily life is about dogs. I've been working with dogs in some way since I was a child and actively training since I was 11. My average day is about 10-12 hrs. When I'm not at work I keep up with my PT and play hockey. When time allows I do hunt, mainly archery, ride motorcycles (on/off road), and read. That's all I have to say about myself.
Hopefully that gives everyone a general idea of who I am. I look forward to posting more on the forums, as I have a lot of questions and just started my 10 week prep program last Monday.
