'Ay guys. I am currently a 21 year old enlistee in the Air Force as a 3P0. Originally from NJ I ended up in GA in a unit that doesn't do the LE side of the job, and I honestly don't ever want to. I was referred here by a team member who has goals to be a PJ after I expressed interest in getting into SOWT or perhaps TACP. The most research I've done is asking fellow unit members and googling the career field. There's one unit member I've been having a hard time getting a hold of who washed out of SOWT and I plan on picking his brain ASAP. We've talked before and I recall him saying SOWT was sort of a weather reconnaissance unit tasked with many other jobs and integrated into other AFSOC units and missions. The picture he painted captivated me. I want to find my limits and actually be a part of a career I can feel like is worth something, while not trading away my M4. There's a couple of guys shooting for CCT and I'm trying to get in on their pt sessions. As of late I've been going to the gym and not much else. I recognize alot of this sounds like talking and not doing and I'm working towards doing more. I'm a mildly healthy young man and I know my run times need to improve as well as the rest of my pt scores. I was told to come here and pick the brain of a member named "SOWT" and look around for PT plans while searching for advice on everything, mental and physical. I've trained on the 24 and 107 in an introductory sharpshooter course, as well as basic heavies, and the standard armament. Although I'm grateful for the mout, light infantry tactics, and weapon knowledge, I find I want more. I hope this paints a decent picture of who I am, what I desire, and what I am working towards. I thank those of you willing to assist me in advance.
