I didn't get the job which would've been my first choice, but I am hoping to later cross-train into TACP after my minimum three years in this position, hopefully SOF TACP.

Welcome to the site. There is no direct entry into SOF TACP. You need to become a TACP, become a JTAC, build a good reputation, learn gear and controlling inside and out, and then you can apply for SOF TACP.
