Hello,

I'm a future sailor and I ship in April. I'm currently contracted in NSO/NSW as an EOD. I have been training in the South Florida Navy Challenge Program. I joined the site to learn more about all military branches EOD communities, the Navy EOD Trsining Pipeline, and any tips/tricks that will help when I get to school.

Thanks,

Meinhold

Meinhold, the only 'tricks' are pay attention and do everything above standard... because EOD is inherently dangerous and the end result of error is ultimate failure, in other words, a resounding BOOOM heard by others as you turn into pink mist. Not being flippant, just realistic.

While this made me laugh, you are correct. Perhaps @racing_kitty can interject also.

Yes, I've heard "attention to detail" more times to count and pan on hearing it plenty more.

Welcome.
The USN has some of the most shit hot EOD techs around (no offense to present company). Prepare to have your ass handed to you in the pool on a daily hourly basis, if you make it to training in Florida.
