Lost in the land of paperwork and charts
My name is Nathan **** and I am currently stationed at Barksdale AFB Louisiana. I am currently working as a Mental Health Tech (4C031). I went into the Air Force 5 Jun 2012, about a month after graduating high school, and went to TAC-P selection on my 18th birthday. I injured my back on a ruck and tried to tough it out for a few days, but had to be reclassed due to failure to train. Spent from about Nov 12 to Feb 13 as a SOT and worked at base legal doing paperwork BS. Finally recieved my reclass to go to tech school for Mental Health. Completed tech school in May and left for Louisiana, been here ever since.
I haven't let myself become just another Airman working in an office, and continue to look for any and all avenues back into the career field. I am training everyday to prepare to go back given the first opportunity.
For more personal and not history items, I am 19 Y/o, been married a year last Dec (she puts up with me so I kept her around :). Origianlly from Oklahoma. I am apart of a military filled family from all diffetent branches so I know how to handle myself when shots are fired :).
In closing, I wanna throw out that I know I'm younger, but put me up against anyone my age in term of maturity and who can get a job done, and I'll blow em away. I may not have been there long, but I learned a lot from my time in training (most from the front leaning rest or with my feet jacked up). Also, if anyone was curious, Mental Health blows! It's all pencil pushing admin work that you get burnt out on real quick. Any way, thank you for the approval and I look forward to the opportunity to chat with all of you.
