Hello, my name is Doug smith I am 16 and in 3 turn 17 So I want to join dep for the Marines so I can have a better chance of making the cut, I meant to mention this at the top but I really want to be In MARSOC. I have always known this is what I wanted to do and there is nothing that will stop me. But I really need to talk to one of the guys who was in MARSOC. I have question recruiters can't answer. So I am on a mission to find someone that will help me on my quest to be on of the best of the best.

Welcome to ShadowSpear. Ill give you the same advise that has been given over and over on this site. Slow down and enjoy being a teenager and in high school, you wont ever get that time back. Also focus on the short term goals. You have a ways to go before you can go to boot camp let alone go to MarSOC's A&S. After you earn the title Marine you will still have to earn the rank of at least Corporal to be considered to attend. Just focus on the short term and having fun in high school (just not too much fun.) Then getting ready for boot camp.

Welcome to SS. Happy birthday, in three;-).

You may want to pick a name for internet/BBs and the like, that is not your real name. Last thing you will want, down the road of life, is for an unknown tracking you down for whatever reason. Not everyone out there is nice, and plays nice. You can touch base with an "Admin" for the name change. Best of luck, and by all means, nave fun as a teenager; plenty of time later for serious stuff.

Welcome.

I will add that attention to detail will carry you far in the military, especially in a special operations unit. By that I am getting at your grammar needs some work. Slow down your typing and pay attention to what you write. None of us are perfect, especially myself. Pay attention during English class and use this forum to help you improve upon your writing. As a Marine (even when you are just a Rifleman before you can try out for MARSOC), you will be writing orders. By having even decent grammar, you will be setting yourself up for success.

Sorry a
