Good morning, I joined this site as a father wanting to learn more about specific Military MOS that my oldest child is looking at joining. So that I might better understand and be informed of her choice of military career. Right now (CA and PSYOP) I believe is what she is looking at. Also, I can see this site has much more beyond that, and for a civilian it would keep me better informed about support and solid charity's for wounded and or deployed Military.

My Background: Born in West Texas, college at Texas Tech University BS in Agronomy, Minor in Animal Husbandry.(1990) Worked for ADM & Conagra over a period of 10yrs, loved the people. (marketing and hedging) I was on the floor of the CME for both companies. During the market crash of 1999-2000 I decided to leave and do something different and was a golf course construction superintendent for Wadsworth LLC. And then a then a Director of maintenance for American golf and EGAL golf management companies till 2010. During my years in golf I ended up back in Texas, ended up starting a family business with my cousins out west and I do all the marketing of our products since (cattle, wheat, cotton). I never stopped trading (my money) and carried over my expertise on the floor to the electronic futures arena. If the pits had not gone away, I would still be in Chicago.

Offshoreman: is not because I have money in offshore accounts. I love offshore fishing probably because I grew up on the plains and spent summers decking for my uncle boat. I have kept a boat in Port Aransas area for years. I used it (handle, and not such a clever one at that) on a fishing website many many years ago and it has stuck for my official social network crap.

Welcome...nice to see involved parents. May I ask how old your daughter is?

Condolences that you are a Raider.... Go Frogs!!! besides that, Welcome.
My bad on the dual posting!!

Ha SF Medic.... no doubt, hard to swallow that the best selling Tshirt on campus this year was "my coach is hawter than your coach... in pink" very very disappointed. At least with leach and spike we were a threat. Now TCU grads and fans, they have been coming out of the woodwork all over! I keep trying to catch one for show and tell....;) It is awesome to see both baylor and TCU step up into the void with the aggies leaving. Something my school obviously fubared from the beginning!!
