Hi my name is Todd, you may address me as that or my site name Deimos, i am 22.

I have been out of the military for about 1 -1/2 years now and regret leaving. When i was in the military i was in the Army and my MOS was 19k(M1 Abrams crewman). I am currently attempting at civilian life, while it has its benifits, I like the military better because I feel like i actually have a purpose in life. I miss my brothers that i served with, I do remain in contact but it just isnt as great.

I served for approximately 3 years and got separated due to unfortunate circumstances and errors on my part.

I am currently trying to get into shape and prepared for my goal of becoming a Pararescueman. People ask me do i really want to do that and have i thought about it, and i say yea i do, because i want to do something meaningful, not just go and take out a target. No thats not me i want save as many of my brother lives as i can because honestly..i'm not sure if i care about anyone else like i care about them. It has been mentioned to me that i could just become an civilian EMT or medic in the army, i am aware that i COULD do that but thats the point anyone can do those things, Not everyone can become a PJ.

So that is me, if anyone has advice they would like to share im all ears.

Thanks. Deimos/Todd

Welcome! Only because you put it out there, can you share what happened to get you separated?

According to my NCO I should have kept my mouth shut. I won't go past that.

To quote him, "You would have made an excellent NCO if you would have kept your mouth shut."

Welcome.

You really need to work on your written communication skills, especially with the goal of PJ, where you will be required to clearly, concisely and correctly use the written word to inform others and document treatment. Please put this into your training plan, as it will also show others that you are truly a professional and pay attention to detail.
