Are you kidding me? You've got to be kidding me? You got selected for the most sought after, hardest, least forgiving MOS in the Army, and you're waffling? I was an 18B and got to reclass to 18D, it was the best decision I ever made.

I'd say you don't want it bad enough if you've turned down 2 report dates for the Q Course. Most people would be there for the first one, barring a parent's, spouse's or sibling's death or serious illness. All you have to do is reenlist for the minimum time - you can't extend, you are too close to ETS. If your girlfriend is serious and supportive, she'll finish school while you are spending your 2+ years in the Q Course to become an 18D.
