Hello,
My name is Nick Stevens. I am 24 years of age and active duty Marine. I am a Sgt and a 3051, supply, it sucks. Aside from that I am here to receive guidance, wisdom, advice and prep tips on hopefully becoming and operator one day. My future goal is enlist into the US Army and hopefully make it into the 75th Ranger regiment. First goal enlist into the Army after this enlistment is over. Now most might ask why switch branches well lat moving has become out of the question for me due to many things. First off most of what I say about this situation is either what I have been told by career planers or what was presented in black and white published by HQMC. Recently I have considered the recon MOS however plans did not fall through my daughter is EFMP and my wife is active as well making time and decisions extremely hard when it comes involving my family. HQMC has put out a new SDA slating process for all potential FY16 candidates to do an SDA, which I got selected, now after speaking with one MARSOC recruiter and another career planner they both pretty much stated that after being a Sgt over 1.5 years lat moving is nearly impossible and because you usually get promoted while doing it you will have to consider staying in your MOS which I will not do. So why the Army? Well not saying it is easier but they have lots of opportunities to seek out a career you most surely want to achieve, Army Ranger, now after this SDA I will separate and do whatever it takes to join the Army. Getting help from the Ranger mentor program would be great please know that I am serious and will take your time very serious.
