I'm a staff Sgt in the Army National Guard, have 3 years active duty through voluntary deployments 13 years TIS. Served both in iraq and afghanistan. Spent my last deployment as a combat engineer doing RCP every single day and enjoyed the rush. I was fortunate enough to work with MARSOF [even though im in the army] for a couple of months so i got a very small taste of how special operations work. I needed more so volunteered for the 20th SFG pre selection upon returning home and passed, and I'm awaiting my selection date. God willing once the Q course is completed I really want the full effect of being embedded in the community so I plan on switching groups if possible to an active duty group. Not that one group is better than the other, because after the pre selection I endured for 6 months I admire any man who's been a green beret at any point in his life, it's just I myself want the immersion.
