I have been serving on active duty since October 2006 with the Navy. I intially spent my first 3 years on a submarine tender based between Italy/Washington state getting the ship ready for its future change of homeport and conducting sea trials. I then transfered to an EOD detacment in Rota, Spain where I spent 3 years supporting the detachment in various capacities for regional response to EUCOM and AFRICOM. While attached to EOD, I deployed to Afghanistan as individual augmentee to the Army supporting NTM-A/CSTC-A/DCOM-P in Kabul supporting their admin and operations cell for 7 months. After returning from deployment, I transfered to a west coast SEAL Team and recently returned from a 6 month deployment to a Crisis Response Element in CENTCOM and finished out my time with a Special Operations Task Force for the remainder of deployment as the J1 director.
