Hi all, my name is Anthony and am waiting to leave for MCRD Parris Island on January 8, 2016. I stumbled across this website because I was looking for workout tips that are above average and get me into the best shape possible before I leave. My goal is to get a 300 PFT and I want to be prepared for whatever they throw at me. My long term goal is to become an applicant for MARSOC or Scout Sniper. I am a college graduate and wanted to make something meaningful out of my life. So any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Welcome to Shadowspear. Great information for you to look through on here. It'll keep you busy for awhile.

Welcome future Marine hopeful. Getting thru bootcamp should be your first priority - what's your MOS going to be?

I'm hoping/assuming your recruiter is giving you plenty to memorize ahead of time so that you are hitting MCRD without having to play catch up?

Memorize your general orders
Memorize all 3 versus of Marine Corps Hymn
Review this website Marine Corps Leadership Traits
There is SO much to memorize

Best of success to you!!!

Thank you, and yes we, as a pool, go over knowledge ever other week and get tested once a month. I still have a lot to memorize but I am getting there. Currently working out I have 66 crunches, a 16 pull-ups and an 10:30 mile and a half, My ASVAB was an 81 with GT score of 112. My MOS, I actually have two, I am an 0300 but I have a 3 year bullet as an 8200 and then ill be moved down into an operating infantry unit.
