Hi, my name is Dane. I've been in the Navy for 7 1/2 years. i'll be out in about 6 months. that said, I am looking to cross over to the air force special operations career field. not sure which career field i want to go into yet. I've been looking into them individually to see what piques my interest the most. I love being in the service. I feel a sense of purpose from what I've done but I want to do more. let me know if there are any questions for me. I'll happily answer them! I've had a blast in the Navy but it's time to see what else is out there for me! hah! there are a few opinions i have but i'll save that for later.

just out of curiosity, how much weight does the PAST test have? i know for the Navy, the better you do on the PST, the more of a chance you have of getting selected for SEAL/SWCC but I can't get a straight answer off the damn internet nor my recruiter…. kind of frustrating. haha!

oh man! i'm so excited!!!!!!! i'm glad I found this site. i googled special operations forums and this was the first thing that came up! haha!

Welcome.

Use the search function here and you'll find tons of info germane to your questions... If you just post questions that have already been asked and answered, your life here might not be very pleasant. Also, use grammar, spelling, punctuation and constructions that reflect your Professionalism and proficiency - it will definitely help in the board's perception of you and your abilities. Typing on a phone is no excuse, sorry.

There are mentor pages on this board bro. You can find the info you want there...

Welcome.

But responding to a comment about using proper grammar with horrible grammar :wall:

After a moderator (me, btw) specifically said this:

YOU really did NOT respond with this:

Because that would be completely bad form, a willful disregard for instructions and telling a moderator that his advice is below you.

I think I will step away from this, and allow another member of the site staff take over.

I'm sorry?? Did I say something to offend you?

He gave you some solid advice and your response was to ignore said advice. To be frank that's kind of insulting.

I'm going to lock this thread. Not so you can't respond as much as to prevent the dogpile I see forming in the distance.

Welcome aboard.
