Hi my name is Grant French (Frenchee), I am a Bulk Fuel Corporal in the Marine Corps reserves and I have been in the Marines just over 3 and a half years. I am also a full time college student earning a BFA in studio art and I'll be starting my senior year in January.
Here's my story. I joined the marines straight out of high school with the goal of eventually becoming a pilot. I had a scholarship for school but I wanted to be a Marine right away so I went the reserve route and started going to school right after I checked into my unit. I am currently enrolled in the Platoon Leaders Course (PLC) commissioning program with an air contract. I have been to OCS jrs and am scheduled to go to seniors this summer.
I want to make a career in the Marine Corps and being a pilot is a solid backup plan but MARSOC is my primary goal. I picked up Corporal in Oct and talked to the recruiter the same day. As of right now I should be going to A&S in April. I joined ShadowSpear to soak up as much knowledge as I can about the SOF community and to make sure I am physically prepared for selection.
