Welcome to SS. If you take a look at rule number three in the "New Members Begin Here", you will see guidance regarding things we are looking for in your intro. That said, tell us a little about "thisisjake".

I'm a prior Air Force Engineering Assistant. Mostly CAD work and making maps as well as construction management. It's a pretty easy job to do in the Air Force. I currently work in Alaska as an Engineering Tech going to islands to oversee construction work. Honestly I find it very boring work as it was also boring in the Air Force. I'm mostly researching prior service opportunities and finding that it is pretty limited unless you already have SOF experience. I've been told quite a few different things from recruiters in my research. Most of it wasn't good and didn't lead to a likelihood of entering that branch.

I hope this works a bit better for and introduction.
