Hello everyone,
My name is Alex, I am 26 years old. I am from upstate NY originally. I moved to CO at age 17 to attend college and to get out of my small town. I have never served in the military. I have been running a small contracting business in Denver for the past 4 years. I have been involved in construction for my whole life and am getting bored of it. I am only getting older and I know that if I am to make a major change, the time is soon. I found this site while browsing the internet to gain information on military careers. I do not know how likely I am to join or what branch/ job I will pick if I do. I am here to gain information.

Welcome to SS. It hard to help much when you are not sure wheat you want to do. First step, would be to meet with recruiters from the Army, USAF, USMC, and US Navy.
We have only a few Navy guys, and they are SEALs. Once you have settled on a branch of service, then we can look at SOF options. There is nothing wrong with starting off in the Army as an Infantry man, getting some years under your belt, and then take a closer look at SOF in the Army.
