First, a thank you to all those who have worn the uniform proudly.
Phoenix Bio: I'll try to keep it short. I have wanted to serve my country since I was sixteen. Family issues and disagreements "assisted" to the 1 serious criminal mistake of my life seven years ago. I have since rebuilt (somewhat) and continue to push for the better, finding partial happiness with a loving and supportive wife (got REAL lucky there), but have not felt completely "whole".
At 30 years old, I'm going all or nothing for the one last march to the recruiter, hoping life experiences, physical and mental achievement, and a ton of the Lord's whispers in certain ears gives me the chance. This is not a wish for a "last hopeful tour", I'm in it for life if they'll have me.
Family is supportive of the try, but think I'm crazy to attempt it (gotta love them!).
Wife knows I won't be truly happy until I at least try (with honest success or failure).
Both know if the opportunity comes, I'll succeed and serve honorably or die trying.
(And that was the short version!)

I have joined ShadowSpear for two (main) reasons:
A) to consult and receive insight into present recruiting practices regarding (hopeful) enlistment in a military branch while housing a (single) criminal offense
B) to learn additional information about SOF practices not acquired through other means for current writings (ie. a particular way they stand etc)
Any knowledge I can contribute to this site will be done.
