Hello everyone! Yes I have made an intro before but it was over 5 years ago and have not participated in any forum discussions or browsed the site since then, so I wanted to re-introduce myself. I was an infantry machine gunner in the USMC for 4.5 years. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and Okinawa the year after to serve as an instructor for JWTC. I was honorably discharged in 2013. I am graduating with a B.S. in Athletic Training in two months. I found out a little too late that just wasn't the job for me. Maybe the ego got the better of me but it took only one time for a 19 year old D-2 athlete to talk down to me and tell me how to do my job that I realized this wasn't the career I wanted to head.
I was drawn (back) to shadowspear because of the professionalism and verified SOF members to offer me the best possible advice to succeed in my journey to the 75th Ranger Regiment. At the moment I am waiting (and training) for an 11x option 40 contract to open up for me. I am choosing to stay enlisted because of how much quicker (with my prior service) it would be to get into the regiment rather than going to the dark side. I look forward to interacting and learning from you guys
