Good afternoon to whoever reads this, or good whatever time frame that applies. I'm a Corpsman with the USN, serving as an 8404. My current status is training, currently a SOCM student. I honestly haven't done anything besides train so far, so I can't speak to anything regarding deployments, what it's like to be on a team, etc
So now that I've made that little disclaimer, a little more about myself. I enlisted in the Navy in 2015 at the ripe age of 24 and a half. There are reasons why I didn't join earlier, but I won't go into that right here. If you're curious just ask. I've been through two selections, failed one and then passed one, and I've had very little exposure to Big Navy. So I don't know much about the blue side life either.
The reason I signed up for this website/forum is because I wanted to be another resource for candidates in this specific pipeline (For anyone that is working toward that goal of 8427). There are always better resources of course and I will point serious individuals in the right direction. There are some things you just need to figure out for yourself when you get into the pipeline though, and I'm not going to spoil that for anyone. I also won't share anything as far as course material goes.
Also I'm looking forward to reading posts from the guys in Recon/Raider bns that have insight into the communities that I am still working on joining.
