Assuming that this is a real photo, what is the purpose of the bulbous devices on the shotguns on the left? Are they some kind of compensator?

I know that the different lengths are for hunting different birds. Instead of taking them off for each different season, he has one of each and not be bothered by it anymore. Probably old chokes or a homemade kind, maybe even a one offset of designs by a custom shop.

Kind of like a reloader who has a press for each caliber so they no longer have to change tools and swap out bushings, etc.

I've seen some really tall mounts on guns in person, and I don't even think not even their chin was touching the stock. or the brace.

lol, none of my FAFO rifles have irons on them. Although I am toying with the idea of an offset type of folding BUIS's. Absolutely useless when switching shoulders around corners though.

Aimpoint T1/Unity riser with the rear peep in the mount. Flip left to right around coners with it all the time.
This is what I have used for several years on an SRT. With the hardware in my neck. This more heads up dot setup just works best. FWIW this is the same height. As a standard carry handle and a dot or prism sight. I remember the Swenson OEG from years ago. Mounted this way on some A2's.

Right now I don't have real estate for offset front folder and not for a front folding or even a fixed BUIS on a 9 inch quad rail or my other 10.5 inch Mlok rails. MAWL C1+ set for left-hand configuration on the left that takes a good chunk of front real estate to mount, Surefire 340 DFT on the right and canted to be offset 45 degrees and thumb only activated on the Unity Gas Cap to prevent an accidental light discharge with light switches while trying to get somewhat of a thumb over bore support hand grip.

Can anyone familiar with LAM's, explain to me why I am seeing more and more guys at night with night vision or daylight with visible lasers, canting their rifles like it's being used with a 45 degree offset but only active aiming with just the lasers? Neither are using a red dot or LPVO, either. Only thing I can think is maybe it's less unobstructed at 50 yards or less.

Fad or should I take a class that teaches it so it becomes intuitive?

Reverse mount a Geisselle flip up front or a KAC Flip up front. See that on alot of 10.5-11.5 weapons.
