Manpower seals NATO special forces deal
Wed 07 Nov 2007

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Workforce planning software specialist Manpower Software has won a new contract to provide NATO with an integrated software system to help manage their Special Operations Forces (SOF).

The AIM listed company signed the deal with NATO's operational military headquarters, known as Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE). SHAPE coordinates multinational forces such as the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. NATO's Special Forces Coordination Centre (NSCC) is a new branch currently being established within SHAPE near Mons, Belgium. It will be the centre of all SOF doctrine, planning, training and force generation within NATO.

SHAPE already use the Manpower Analysing and Planning System to manage their 15,000 Peace-time Establishment employee records and for their Force Generation management.
