I respect the gentleman, but I'm not a fan of this idea.
I think in the past few years the SEAL Teams have been driving out of their lanes onto oncoming traffic a little bit. While everybody else has been driving on the right side of the road.
I thought maybe Mulholland would take over SOCOM, but McRaven is a good choice too. He has plenty of experience and education in SOF outside of direct action, and I think he'll be a highly effective commander for SOCOM.

I had the honor of meeting him several times and speaking with him when he was still at ST#3 as the Commander. Good guy, straight and to the point. He never seemed real PC to me or locked on with the sensitive crowd. He helped me and was very supportive. His book is excellent as well. Ummm that was 1995-1996 if I remember correctly the dates.
