Good evening all. First and foremost I want to thank my buddy for introducing me to this site. I am here to soak up as much knowledge as I possibly can, and hopefully one day make it into MARSOC. I am 19 years old I am an Air Traffic Control Trainee in the Marine Corps. As boot and corny as it may sound I joined to make a difference also for adventure and to travel and see and experience new things, so far I have done none of those. I am fairly new and have only been in for a year and a half. My current MOS is good and mentally challenging, but I seek more from my military career. I want to do something that is worth doing. The advertising slogan "Today will be different" gets to me every time I see it. That is what I want and theres nothing I wouldn't do to get it. Hopefully I can gather enough information from the members here and eventually get a mentor that will guide me in the right direction. I'm as motivated as i'll ever be and look forward to hearing from you all. Thank you.

Welcome.

Remember, EVERY job in the military is important, and the expertise you bring to that job can be the difference between life or death, for you, a buddy or somebody you are supporting. We have mentor areas here, and a whole SOF thread to peruse. The search function is your friend, use it to your advantage.

Drive on Marine.

Welcome to SS. We are happy to have you on board. Not many Americans stand up, raise their right hand, and join our military. That alone makes you valued and important to our nation. The neat thing about active military service, are the different ways one can grow and shape his/her military career. There is plenty of informantion here, and if we can help you along, we're glad to do that too.
