My Random TV Thread

New King of the Hill is out on Hulu.
The new voice actor for Dale is hard to get used to, but everybody else sounds good.

It doesn't feel different other than time moving forward, which I mean as a compliment.

Untamed on Netflix.

I think we've seen this one before. That guy from that movie we liked plays a bitter, veteran murder police. He has a dark past, drinking problem, and ex-wife who still pines for him but knows those days are gone forever. He works a case which is personal and filled with twists as he struggles to uncover the truth about the victim and himself. He's aided by a rookie who in a modern twist is a single mom with an abusive boyfriend. In the end the case is solved, the rookie becomes a hardened veteran, and the hero discovers himself and rides off into the sunset.

Decent series, worth a look if you're between other series or looking for something to watch. If you take a week or two between episodes the recaps are good and get you up to speed. Solid casting for the material, average writing, and being shot in Yosemite provides some stunning views. Not great, but not bad.

3 out of 5 abandoned mines.

Have seen the first episode of untamed, looking forward to the rest and apparently they're doing another limited series.

I don't want to give away the ending even if it is somewhat predictable, but I think I see where the series is going with a second season.

I believe it's a prequel but I could be wrong

Dark Wolf is EPIC.

Before The Terminal List, Navy SEAL Ben Edwards finds himself entangled in the black operations side of the CIA. The deeper Ben goes into the 'gray', the harder it will become to not give himself over to his darker impulses. Every man has two wolves inside him – light and dark – fighting for control. Which wolf will Ben Edwards feed?

I wanted to watch it yesterday but I'll have to wait until this weekend. Did you see just the first or all that's been released?

Watching a thing about John Wayne Gacy on Netflix. That story is crazier than I remember and I'm not talking about "duh, serial killer" I mean the circumstances. 5 guys who worked for Gacy turned up missing? Police surveillance was blown on the first day so they overtly follow him. When he starts driving recklessly, speeding, etc. to evade them they allow that to continue "to not threaten the investigation." Walking up to him in a diner and eating breakfast with the guy. Inviting them into his house where you can smell the decomp. The crawlspace was basically a pit of mud and he constantly had to pump it out. Having one of his potential victims dig a hole in the crawlspace. One victim they interviewed for the show had red flag after red flag in his face and he stayed in the home until he was raped.

Just bonkers.
